This award is presented to the designer/manufacturer of the most innovative item of technical equipment first installed aboard a superyacht over the past two years. The item must have been either specifically designed for use aboard a yacht or was developed for other applications and subsequently modified for use aboard a yacht. Items which are primarily designed for applications other than a yacht, and have not been specifically modified for use aboard a yacht do not qualify for this award. Judges will consider the level of technology used, its design, functionality and the likelihood of it having a wide reaching acceptance within the superyacht industry.
