ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AWARD

This special award by Boat International Media will be judged by a panel of senior group editors, chaired by Roger Lean-Vercoe.

The award will be presented to the yacht builder that, in the opinion of the jury, has made the most significant investment in design solutions, on board equipment and operational procedures that contribute to an improvement of its environmental performance beyond the minimum levels required by mandatory international regulations on environmental protection.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entrants are asked to provide details on the processes used to combat possible pollution in the areas listed below:

Marine pollution, including:
• Oil from machinery space
• Sewage and grey water
• Garbage
• Ballast water
• Antifouling systems

Air pollution, including:
• Ozone-depleting substances
• Greenhouse gasses and pollutants
• Exhaust gas emissions
• Carbon dioxide emissions

Building materials and environmental procedures in place during construction.
