Presenting the ShowBoats Design Awards 2010 Finalists

Having received over 200 nominations for the ShowBoats Design Awards, our team of international editors were set the challenging task of refining this impressive list to a group of outstanding finalists. The nominations included the year’s most notable examples of superyacht design and craftsmanship. All qualifying yachts were delivered during 2009 and have a length overall in excess of 30 metres.

This impressive collection of finalist designs will be scrutinised by our independent panel of judges, all of whom have expert knowledge in their fields. This distinguished group includes superyacht owners, internationally renowned designers and industry professionals.

The Judges’ Meeting will take place on 23 June in Monaco. Roger Lean-Vercoe, editor of The Superyachts, will chair the meeting at the Hotel de Paris where a day of deliberation will conclude with the selection of the most outstanding design in each category.

The winning designs will be announced during a gala evening at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s private members club in Palm Beach, Florida on 26 October 2010. The presentation of the ShowBoats Design Awards will take place on the final day of the third annual Superyacht Design Symposium, concluding two days of compelling debate and discussion led by an awe-inspiring panel of superyacht owners, speakers and senior industry professionals.
